Stopover in Dubai

Dubai is one of the busiest airports in the world, and as a growing transportation hub, there’s a good chance that your upcoming travels may include a stopover in Dubai. Here are some recommendations for how you might spend your time:

Visit the Burj  Khalifa

At 828 meters tall, this is currently the tallest building in the world, and the view from the top is impressive. Tickets for the At the Top experience give you access to the 148th floor and the tallest outdoor observation deck in the world. Sit back, relax and enjoy 360 views of the city.

Dubai Mall

Located at the base of the Burj Khalifa and featuring an indoor ski and snowboard park, this is Dubai’s largest and most popular mall. After you’ve watched (or participated in) the indoor skiing, grab an ice cream and head outside to observe the giant Dubai Fountain.

Dubai City Tour

Maximize your time by arranging a 2-3 hour private city tour so that you can quickly and easily see Dubai’s main sites. A typical tour includes a drive along Jumeirah Beach, including a stop at the beautiful Burj Al Arab, followed by a trip to the traditional Dubai Creek neighborhood where you will have time to wander the stalls of the very touristy spice and gold souks. If that doesn’t sound appealing, opt for high tea at the Burj Al Arab instead.

Experience The Desert

For a unique and memorable experience, we highly recommend a night or two at the Al Maha Desert Resort and Spa. Nestled in the dunes of the Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve, approximately 1 hour from Dubai, Al Maha showcases the heritage and architecture of the Bedouins while offering the finest in desert luxury and adventure.

From the private infinity pool and terrace at your Bedouin style villa, enjoy stunning views of the sand dunes and the wildlife that live within the reserve. Each villa includes a guide to the wildlife in the reserve so that you can easily identify the Arabian Oryx or Gazelles that wander past your pool.

Participate in two complimentary daily activities such as guided desert walks, 4x4’ing in the dunes, falconry displays, or camel riding and sundowners on top of the sand dunes. Guests can also choose to enjoy a treatment at the peaceful spa. The food in the onsite restaurant is very enjoyable and the staff are attentive, discreet and courteous. Watching the moon rise over the sand dunes from your infinity pool is sure to be a memorable experience.
